My review of Dollywood's NightFlight Expedition is up at Laughing Place; you can find that here. I'll have a second piece on it coming soon to Kotaku. As I write in my review, the ride lands a little soft after all of the hype; the coaster element is fairly minor, the theming goes for a flat storybook-like aesthetic that's too spare and unexciting, and the computer animation in the very first scene starts the whole thing off with a whimper. Still, it's a solid role-player, a fine escape on a hot day with some thrills, some AC, and a little bit of misting (you will not get soaked), and I can't stress enough how great it is to see Dollywood focus on original storytelling like this. The theming doesn't come all that close to the level of quality you expect from Disney and Universal, but it's a step above what you'll typically find at other parks, and helps fill the massive dark ride-shaped hole at Dollywood. But hey, go read that review, if you want, for all the details.
